I make Bellydance, historical and other kinds of costumes so I am looking for a wide array of items . . . what is your favorite store? Why?

Re: What are the best fabric stores in Portland?
Tue, April 4, 2006 - 5:58 AMI happen to like Fabrics For Less, over on 72nd and Sandy. They've got a GREAT array of fabrics that cost lots less than most other places - oh, and if you're into bellydance garb, then that's the place to go. The store is run by a very nice Arab couple, who ship in silks and imports from the middle east for sale, and the prices are VERY reasonable. Sari fabrics for $4-$6 per yard on the low end, running up to $12 per yard on the high end, or pre-made clothing...
I also like Fabric Depot when they have their outdoor sale during the summer, and their 40% off sale - but only when I feel like being a linebacker...
